How to buy Telegram Stars: in the app or in a bot

There are two main ways to buy Telegram Stars, and the price per Star can differ noticeably between them. Here is how each one works, what it costs you in fees and effort, and how to top up cheaper.

In the Telegram app

  1. Open Settings → My Stars

Or start a payment in a bot or channel — Telegram will offer to top up.

  2. Choose a pack

Stars are sold in fixed packs.

  3. Pay via the store

App Store on iPhone, Google Play on Android.

Pros: two taps, always at hand. Cons: the app store fee makes this usually the most expensive option, and it fails if the store doesn’t accept your card.

In a bot — no app store, no wallet

In @PremiumAndStarsMarketBot you choose any amount from 50 Stars, enter a @username (yours or a friend’s), see the price and the payment methods and pay — no app store, no wallet. Stars are credited to the balance, usually within minutes.

Only the @username is needed — never a password or login code. Check the username: 4–32 Latin letters, digits or underscores.

The bot shows the exact price and the payment methods available to you before you pay.

Buying Stars on iPhone and Android

On an iPhone, Stars bought inside Telegram are paid through the App Store, so Apple’s fee is part of the price and the purchase depends on your Apple ID region and card. On Android the same happens through Google Play. Telegram Desktop and Telegram Web follow the rules of the platform where you pay.

Buying in a bot works the same on every device: you choose the amount, pay with one of the methods the bot lists and the Stars appear in the balance of the @username you entered — on all your devices at once.

Stars belong to the account, not the phone

Stars bought on one device are available everywhere you use the same Telegram account. Check the balance in Settings → My Stars.

How to buy Telegram Stars cheaper

  • Buy outside the app store. Bots don’t include Apple’s or Google’s fee — and in our bot the prices are the lowest, lower only on the Moon.
  • Buy one bigger amount instead of many small ones — the price per Star is usually lower.
  • Check the final price before paying. In our bot it’s shown before payment, so you can compare.
  • Watch for giveaways in channels — Stars are a popular prize.
Too cheap to be true?

Offers far below the market, “Stars generators” and sellers who ask for your login code are scams. A real seller needs only a @username.

If the purchase fails

Errors like “payment failed”, a declined card or “not available in your region” usually come from the app store, not from Telegram. See why Telegram payments fail and how to fix them — or simply order in the bot where the app store isn’t involved.
