Before you cancel
- Cancelling only stops the next renewal — Premium stays active until the end of the paid period.
- You cancel where you paid: App Store, Google Play or @PremiumBot.
- Premium received as a gift or bought for a fixed period has no subscription — there’s nothing to cancel.
Cancel on iPhone or iPad
Open the Settings app
Tap your name at the top.
Go to Subscriptions
Find Telegram in the list of active subscriptions.
Tap “Cancel Subscription”
Confirm — Premium stays until the paid period ends.
Cancel on Android
Open Google Play
Tap your profile icon.
Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
Select Telegram Premium.
Tap “Cancel subscription”
Follow the prompts to confirm.
How to check whether you have an active subscription
Open Settings → Telegram Premium in Telegram: it shows whether Premium is active and until when. If you don’t remember where you paid, look for Telegram in the subscription lists of the App Store and Google Play, and search your email for a receipt from @PremiumBot’s payment provider.
What happens after cancelling
When the paid period ends, Premium features turn off and the free limits apply again. Your chats, files and contacts are not affected. Premium stickers and emoji you sent stay visible to others.

Cancel or switch? Common reasons people cancel
- “I don’t want automatic charges.” Switch to a fixed period — it ends by itself.
- “My card stopped working in the store.” The subscription will fail anyway; buy Premium outside the app store instead.
- “I only need Premium sometimes.” Buy 3 months when you need it — there’s nothing to cancel later.
Premium without auto-renewal
If you like Premium but not subscriptions, buy a fixed period of 3, 6 or 12 months. It’s delivered as a gift to your own @username and simply ends when the time is up — no charges, nothing to cancel.

Frequently asked questions
Can I get a refund after cancelling Telegram Premium?
Refunds for in-app subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google under their rules. Request one through the store’s purchase history.
I cancelled, but Premium is still active. Why?
That’s normal: Premium stays until the end of the period you already paid for.
Can I cancel Premium that I received as a gift?
There’s nothing to cancel — a gift is a fixed period without auto-renewal and ends automatically.
Will I lose my chats if Premium ends?
No. Only Premium features switch off; your messages, files and contacts remain.
