What are Telegram gifts?
Gifts appeared in Telegram in late 2024. You choose a gift, pay for it in Telegram Stars and send it to a contact with an optional message. The gift appears on the recipient’s profile (unless they hide it), and you can hide your name from other people who view their profile.
How to send a gift
Open the profile
Go to the person’s profile or your chat with them.
Tap “Send a gift”
Browse regular and limited gifts and their prices in Stars.
Add a message and send
Choose whether other profile visitors can see your name. Stars are deducted from your balance.
Not enough Stars? Top up in our bot — you can buy exactly the amount you need, from 50 Stars.
Regular, limited and collectible gifts
Regular gifts
Always available. The cheapest ones cost a few dozen Stars.
Limited gifts
Released in a fixed quantity; once sold out, they’re gone.
Collectibles
Gifts upgraded into unique items with their own number, model, background and symbol.
Convert to Stars
The recipient can turn some gifts back into Stars instead of keeping them.
Upgrades, trading and NFTs
Eligible gifts can be upgraded for an extra fee in Stars into a unique collectible. Collectibles can be shown as an emoji status, transferred to other users, sold on Telegram’s marketplace and, if you want, moved to the TON blockchain as an NFT. Prices for rare collectibles are set by the market and can be far above the original price.
Buy and sell collectibles only through official Telegram tools or trusted marketplaces. Never send gifts or Stars first to strangers who promise a better deal.
Display, hide or convert received gifts
Received gifts appear in the Gifts tab of your profile. You decide what others see: hide a gift from the profile, pin your favorites, or convert eligible gifts into Stars if you’d rather spend them. Converting is available only for a limited time after receiving the gift, so decide early.
When a gift works better than a message
- Birthdays and holidays — a gift on the profile is visible to everyone, unlike a message lost in the chat.
- Thanking an admin or a creator — a small gift or star reaction says more than “thanks”.
- Communities — channel owners send gifts to active members or giveaway winners.
- Collectors — limited gifts become rarer over time, and some people collect complete series.

Frequently asked questions
How much do Telegram gifts cost?
Prices are set in Stars and shown in the gift menu. Regular gifts start from a few dozen Stars, limited and collectible gifts cost more.
Can I turn a gift into money?
You can convert some received gifts into Stars, and collectibles can be sold to other users. Purchased Stars themselves can’t be cashed out by regular users.
Can I send a gift anonymously?
Partly. You can hide your name and message from people who visit the recipient’s profile, but the recipient still sees who sent the gift.
Where can I buy Stars for gifts?
In the Telegram app or in @PremiumAndStarsMarketBot — any amount from 50 Stars, with the price shown before payment.
Can I gift Telegram Premium instead?
Yes — Premium is a separate gift for 3, 6 or 12 months. See how to gift Telegram Premium.
